Procedures
- Rescue membership is effective 24 hours after purchase.
- The membership card provided indicates your Membership Type and Membership Number.
- Place the membership sticker on a prominent and visible place on the front rear windscreen.
- Store all the 24 Hour Rescue Hotlines in your mobile telephone.
- Inform all regular drivers of your vehicle of these procedures.
- Services are offered within the greater Nairobi Area (30 kms from the Central Business District).
- We CANNOT assist unless you CALL us on our specified Hotlines.
- Services offered for Private cars, pick-ups & vans under 3 tons.
- Services are subject to standard Membership Terms & Conditions.
Procedures to follow within Greater Nairobi
Motor Vehicle Accident – whether Major or Minor damage
- Do not admit liability or agree for settlement of damages.
- Call our 24 hour Rescue Hotlines.
- State your Membership Number (provided on the Membership card) and Vehicle Registration Number.
- Provide accurate details of the accident as requested by the Rescue Controller (Exact location, Nature of accident, Injuries if any, Extent of damage).
- Wait for Auto Assured Rescue Crew to arrive at the scene.
- Inform the Traffic Police not to Tow or Recover your vehicle because you are waiting for the Auto Assured Rescue Crew.
- Auto Assured will ensure that relevant and accurate information is collected to facilitate processing of your accident claim.
- You will be required to accompany Auto Assured to the Police Station to facilitate the processing of the Police Abstract.
Accident with a pedestrian

Ensure the area is safe/secure watch out for rowdy crowds, dimly lit roads if at night, there are areas where the inhabitants are known to administer mob justice i.e.
Kibera, Kangemi, Juja rd near Mathare, Dandora parts of Jogoo rd, Banana (Karuri area), Kawangware
- If the area is unsafe the driver had better drive to the nearest police station and with assistance of the police go back to the scene and secure the victim.
- Always ensure that you are safe first.
After Impact with a pedestrian
- Stop the vehicle.
- Assess the condition of the victim. If badly injured call for an ambulance if not immediately rush the victim to the nearest hospital.
- Report the accident to the police at the area traffic headquarters.
The police will normally detain the vehicle for inspection later and visit the victim in hospital to confirm what condition he/she is in.
- Back at the station the driver will be asked to record a statement of the incident and a cash bail demanded.
After paying the cash bail the driver will be allowed to leave at will.
- Always ensure that the insurance company is made aware of the accident by reporting it and filling a claim form.
The inspection will be carried out at a date set by the police.
The inspection is done at the Nairobi area traffic headquarters (if within Nairobi) and is done to determine the cause of the accident either faulty vehicle or driver error.
Once the inspection is done the vehicle is released to the owner and can be taken to a destination of the owners’ choice.- If it is determined that the driver caused the accident by driving a faulty vehicle or was driving with due care and attention he/she will be charged with causing an accident and/or driving an unroadworthy vehicle and face a day in court.
- Only after going to court and paying the fine will an abstract be written.
Theft of Your Motor Vehicle
In the event that you are carjacked and then abandoned or your vehicle is stolen:
- Call our 24 Hour Rescue Hotlines
- State your Membership Number (Provided on the Membership Card) and Vehicle Registration Number
- Provide accurate details of the incident as requested by the Rescue Controller (Exact location, Nature of theft, Injuries if any).
- Wait for Auto Assured Rescue Crew to arrive and assist you.
- Auto Assured will ensure that relevant and accurate information is collected to facilitate processing of your theft claim.
- You will be required to accompany Auto Assured to the Police Station to facilitate the processing of the Police Abstract.
Motor Vehicle Breakdown – Greater Nairobi
- Call any of the 24 Hour Rescue Hotlines
- State your Membership Number and Vehicle Registration Number.
- Provide accurate details of the Breakdown as requested by the Rescue Controller (Exact Crew to arrive and assist you.
- Do not allow any strangers to tamper with your vehicle.
- Delivery of fuel is free, but the cost of fuel is met by the Member.
Processing of Driver License Renewal
The service is limited to driver’s license renewal only.
- Call Auto Assured Limited on 2711420/1, 2727914/5, 0722 -752543 or 0733-730763 to book for your renewal and for directions.
- Please not that licensing renewal will only be provided subject to you delivering all the documentation & fees and collecting the renewed documentation from Auto Assured offices.
- Allow three (3) working days for renewal and collect on the 4th working day.
