Does Auto Assured offer comprehensive cover?

Yes we do. We offer comprehensive cover for private cars covering the insured’s vehicle and any third parties that may be involved.

What is the premium rate?

Premium is calculated based on vehicle value at 4%, applicable taxes at 0.45% of the premium and an additional 6,000/= for Auto Assured membership fees.

Can one pay in installments? What options do you have?

It is advisable to pay full premium. Premium financing is available for a minimum of 4 up to a maximum of 10 installments. Two installments are also accepted i.e. half premium plus 6,000/= membership fee and second installment of the balance, payable by post-dated cheque dated 25 days after the first installment.

When is the courtesy car provided and how soon?

Courtesy car is provided once a claim is deemed to be admissible i.e. cost of repair are above the excess.

What is your response time to get to an accident/ disablement scene?

Our average response time is 15 minutes. In case of delays, client is contacted to reassure of service delivery.

How is your product different from my current insurance?

What is excess?

Excess is the first part of any claim that is borne by the insured to cater for the cost of repair for his/ her vehicle after an accident or theft. Excess is only paid if cost of repairs are above the applicable excess, vehicle is written off or stolen and is calculated as a percentage of the sum insured.

How long does it take to process a total loss claim?

The turnaround time depends on the type of claim and is subject to conclusion of investigations if any, and the insured availing the necessary documentation for processing.

Who is the underwriter?

This policies are underwritten by the Co-operative Insurance Company of Kenya Limited and Real Insurance Company.
